BA in Latin, Greek and Musicology at Stockholm University in 2004, PhD in Latin in 2011. In my thesis Responsiones Vadstenenses, I edited two Latin texts dealing with the relations between the Birgittine monsteries of Vadstena (Sweden) and Syon (England) in the first half of the 15th century. In 2011, I was employed for a couple of months at the National Archives of Sweden, working on a project concerning Sweden and the Apostolic See in the late Middle Ages. An ongoing project is to write a new textbook in classical Latin poetry for post-beginners/intermediate Latin students. I currently study the Latin manuscript tradition of the Apophtegmata Patrum for the project Early Monasticism and Classical Paideia, financed by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond.
My research interests are Medieval Latin texts relating to the Birgittine order; Syon Abbey; religious politics in the late Middle Ages; classical learning in the Middle Ages; the teaching of classical languages; history of education.
