My research is focused on inclusive counseling, performed by teachers . In Sweden special teachers and special educators are prepared for to take a position as a counsellor to colleagues, learners, parents and other persons involved in educational contexts. As a paticipant in the project ”Learning for democracy: Partner-driven North/South collaboration” (AKT-2010-037) I am interested to find out how this function is prepared for in teachers’ special educational training in Namibia, Botswana and South Africa. I am also interested to examine ethical concerns in the counseling situation performed by teachers in the participating countries. Are there - and if so - what kind of differences can be found in dilemmasituations experienced by schoolteacher councellors? How can they be understood?
