<title>Effects of enhanced parental input on young children´s vocabulary development and subsequent literacy development - SPRINT</title>
      <link>http://su.avedas.com/converis/project/77</link>
<description>Children's everyday language environment&amp;nbsp;determines their early language development, which in turn influences subsequent literacy development.&amp;nbsp;SPRINT aims to study how a parent support program can contribute to a child's language development and later literacy development. In the project, parents of children aged 12-30 months are given the opportunity to view a series of recordings showing what stimulating interactions between parents and children may look like. Thus, parents can try out new ways of interacting with their children. The study is currently being conducted in Sweden, and similar studies are planned in Portugal, Australia, Finland and the United States.&amp;nbsp;SPRINT&amp;nbsp;shall increase the&amp;nbsp;knowledge of how children's language development and subsequent literacy development is influenced by the language environment at home and at preschool.</description>
